Situated on both banks of the river Segura, Rojales is an old market town, currently experiencing a strong expansion. Of its 16,000 inhabitants, some 11,500 live in Ciudad Quesada, a still-growing estate of just around 50 years. Rojales is the second Spanish municipality with the highest percentage of foreigners, who constitute 71.75% of the registered population. As a result of this, English is the most widely spoken language in the municipality.
Well communicated location

Rojales has an Urban Hydraulic Monumental Complex that dates back to the 16th century and consists of a dam, irrigation outlets, a water wheel, and an ashlar bridge – a landscape and urban landmark of singular importance in the region. Among the many points of interest that can be visited are several museums and the main church, built during the early part of the 18th century and dedicated to Saint Peter the Apostle. There is a Culture Centre in the town and another one in Ciudad Quesada.

New homes of good value for money
The newer parts of Rojales – Ciudad Quesada, Doña Pepa, and Pueblo Bravo in the south and a recent town plan on the northern bank of the Segura – are ever-growing in popularity among the European homebuyers. Many of the rather small-scale developments, situated within easy walking distance of full amenities, offer detached villas on fair-sized plots as well as spacious townhouses, most of them within the €200,000 to €500,000 price range.
