Costa Blanca North
The name Costa Blanca refers to the coastal area of the province of Alicante, located in south-eastern Spain. In addition to the city of Alicante (pop. 340,000) and its surroundings, well-known tourist areas in Costa Blanca North include Finestrat, Benidorm, Albir, Altea, Calpe, and Jávea. The area is markedly hilly, typically offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The main airport, Alicante-Elche (ALC), is Spain´s fifth busiest airport. It is practically equidistant – about an hour´s drive – from the southernmost and northernmost areas of the province.
